When renewing a license....? - when should i renew my license if im turning 21
I live in New York and I had to renew my first license, because today I-21. But the DMV took my passport photo and told me I would get another one at 10-14, but how should I presume to buy alcohol if they have my identity?

Wait 10 days to 14 and then a photo identification proving your age.

Was it a kind of temporary permit to use then? This seems strange because you should have a valid license at any time during the trip ...
